Max-Herrmann-Straße, Berlin

A new residential neighborhood with four buildings was developed in Berlin-Marzahn for the housing company Degewo. While the upper floors of the buildings share a similar design, they differ in height and orientation. A total of 180 apartments were built — ranging from one- to five-room units, with a significant portion consisting of subsidized and barrier-free housing. Additionally, three contemporary commercial spaces were created on the ground floor of one of the buildings. The façade features a vibrant, varied design, thanks to staggered windows and continuous plaster bands. Different plaster textures and colors create a harmonious yet distinctive look. At the same time, the horizontal accents in the exterior finish reference the surrounding constructions, giving the buildings their own unique identity.
