District Administration in Stralsund

West of the historic old town of Stralsund and on the grounds of the former Prinz Moritz barracks, a modern administrative headquarters for the Vorpommern-Rügen district is being built. As the new face of the campus towards the city, BFA is designing this modern reception establishment between the future district building and the citizens‘ office, which will provide space for open, communal uses. The new building contrasts aesthetically in an exciting way with the red brick facades of the elaborately restored barrack structures, which are now used for administrative purposes. The inviting openness of the area and centrally located green area, creates a high-quality space for employees and residents alike.
