A housing project with 80 apartments and 2 commercial areas has been built on a challenging plot of land in Charlottenburg. It is bordered on the one side by the busy Wilmersdorfer Strasse, and on Gervinusstrasse by the railway line. These effects were worked around in the concept. The facade to the quiet, south-facing inner courtyard is open structured, while from the street it appears to be more closed and stringent. The street view is divided into 5 houses, which are finely graduated by virtue of different colours, textures and surfaces. The project meets different housing needs. On the ground and first floors, there are townhouses with separate entrances and access to the garden. Above these, are apartments of various sizes, all of which have a balcony looking onto the courtyard. Finally, at the top there are spacious penthouses with terraces and a fantastic views over Berlin.
