Leipziger Straße, Berlin
InformationXIn the center of Berlin, at the intersection of Friedrichstraße and Leipziger Straße, a historic office and commercial building from 1908 is being infused with new energy. Designed by architect G. Rathenau, the building is one of the oldest in the district and reflects a bygone era. Despite the tight urban conditions, the high ceilings and spacious staircases convey an impressive presence. The site is almost completely renovated, but two small inner courtyards are being transformed into inviting green spaces – peaceful retreats where office workers can recharge. The renovation of this historic building is designed to be both sustainable and future-oriented.The goal is to preserve the historical elements while creating modern and flexible floor plans for the future.
