A Quarter of a Quarter
An impressive housing project with four hundred apartments is being built on an old, established brewery site near Berlin’s popular park, Volkspark Friedrichshain. Four architectural offices have taken part in developing the project, each with individual traits and characteristics, yet thereby generating a collective language to create and restore the urban structure. BFA designed one hundred and twenty apartments in two buildings, each richly infused with light and with a differently designed facade. Both government housing and private condominiums are available in this creatively blended development.
