Rosa-Luxemburg-Straße, Berlin

BFA has taken a historically protected building from 1890 and extensively renovated, upgraded and developed it to a premium quality standard. Ultramodern apartments are grouped on five floors around the stately staircase. The floor plans have been decisively redesigned, and historical elements such as brick walls and steel beams, exposed again. The reminiscent, tangible history is juxtaposed at the highest level with the contemporary expansion. All apartments have received new, high quality wooden parquet flooring and the permission to install a fireplace for personal use. The old charm of the facade has been revived, the bay windows have been extended with a balcony and a beautiful walk-in roof terrace has been transformed from previous emergency terrace.
